Eligibility for Admission in NIOS board.

a) Admission Stream-I (Block-I) Stream 2,3 & 4 (Cutt off Dates: 16th Mar 2015 to 15th Sept.2015):
Secondary Course – 14 years as on 31st July 2015 (born on or before 31st July 2001) Senior Secondary Course – 15 years as on 31st July 2015 (born on or before 31st July 2000)
Stream-I (Block-II) (Cutt off Dates: 16th Sept.-2015 to 15th Mar 2016):
Secondary Course – 14 years as on 31st January 2016 (born on or before 31st January 2002) Senior Secondary Course – 15 years as on 31st January 2016 (born on or before 31st January 2001) Supporting Documents
Secondary Course:
i) Attested copy of Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Authority or Distt Office of the Registrar of Birth and Deaths for those born on or after 26th Jan 1989; or
ii) Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate showing applicant’s date of birth, issued by the last school attended by the applicant Senior Secondary Course: Attested copy of the Certificate of Matriculation/Secondary Examination having a record of the Date of Birth (No other proof of age will be accepted for Sr. Secondary admission)
i) In case of Orphan/Juvenile/Street Children, the Medical Legal Certificate may be provided as proof of Date of Birth
ii) Date of birth once given in the Admission Form is generally not changed. Please check and state the correct date of birth in Admission Form

Minimum Educational Qualifications

Secondary Course: Certificate of Class VIII pass, or Self Certificate (as mentioned at the back of Admission Form)
Senior Secondary Course: Copy of the Certificate of Secondary Examination passed from a recognized Board of Secondary Education, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer
